Our "Print it Anyway" (PITA) feature lets you print your model and explore results beyond our material design guidelines, making it ideal for prototyping. This ensures you always receive a 3D printed model, even if it doesn't meet our design specifications.
We currently offer this option for the following materials:
Accura 60
Accura Xtreme
Accura Xtreme 200
Aluminum
Fine Detail Plastic
Full Color Sandstone
High Definition Full Color
MJF PA12
MJF PA12 Glass Beads
Versatile Plastic (excluding Smooth)
To use this option, add models to your cart and select the checkbox next to any models eligible for PITA.
Important Considerations
Since we work with external partners and different production techniques for each material, PITA is only available for specific materials. Cast metals or steel cannot be accepted as PITA due to potential production issues affecting the entire batch.
Refund Policy
By choosing PITA, you accept the risk of receiving an imperfect model, which means you will not be eligible for a refund or store credit exchange.
If a model violates our Content Policy guidelines, we will cancel the item and issue a refund. Otherwise, you will receive the printed product, though it may not meet your expectations.
Why No Refund?
Although we'll do our best to ensure your product is printed the way you wanted, we cannot guarantee it will be free of imperfections. By participating in PITA, you acknowledge this and thus are not eligible for a refund.
This policy covers the entire production and shipping process. A product might survive production but, without the PITA option, would still have been rejected if we believe it wouldn't survive shipping. For this reason, a product damaged during shipping is not eligible for a refund.
After Placing a PITA Order
Your model will go through our standard production process. While we will print what you've designed, the final product may have imperfections and might not be suitable for purchase by others.
Note: Print It Anyway does not affect the "Success Rate" of a model.
Guarantee and Terms
Your model must comply with our Terms and Conditions and pass initial printability checks. Choosing PITA does not bypass our Content Policy. Models must meet the material-specific bounding box requirements.
Feedback on Print Issues
We understand the importance of feedback. As we print PITA models, we will document and share any issues encountered during production to help you improve your design.
Consistency of Print Quality
Each print carries some risk of issues, especially for fragile models. A successfully printed model may not guarantee the same result in subsequent orders.
Selling PITA Models
We do not recommend selling PITA models until they have been successfully printed through the standard process. PITA is meant for iterating designs to achieve a consistently high-quality print.
Order Quality
Your PITA order will receive the same care as regular orders. However, in rare cases involving polished or dyed materials, you might receive a product that hasn't undergone these processes if it wouldn't have survived them. This approach allows you to learn and improve your design while still receiving the most complete product possible.
